1. Introduction
Welcome to TheDressCode ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use TheDressCode. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Store Owners and Listings
Store owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and condition of items. TheDressCode does not verify the accuracy of listings and accepts no liability for misrepresentation.
Store owners must ensure listed items are clean, in good condition, and ready for use at the time of rental or sale. Items must comply with Jordanian law and not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
5. Rental Bookings
Rental bookings are made directly through the app. Once a booking is accepted by the store owner, it is considered confirmed. Physical handover, payment, and return of items are coordinated between the customer and the store owner offline. TheDressCode does not process payments or guarantee fulfilment.
Customers are responsible for returning rented items in the same condition they were received. Any damage, staining, or loss may result in charges at the store owner's discretion.
6. Cancellations
Cancellation policies are set individually by each store owner. TheDressCode is not responsible for any disputes arising from cancellations. Customers should confirm cancellation terms with the store owner before booking.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to circumvent the platform by completing transactions outside the app without prior booking.
- Upload harmful, obscene, or offensive content.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on TheDressCode — including the name, logo, design, and software — is the intellectual property of TheDressCode. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
TheDressCode acts as a marketplace platform only. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers, renters, and store owners. To the maximum extent permitted by Jordanian law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from the use of the platform.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Jordanian courts.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the app following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
